If you were marooned on a desert island, what luxury item would you take with you, and who would you like to be marooned with and why? I would take an espresso machine.
On a long-haul flight, who would you like to sit next to from any period in history? Some of the great explorers: Sir Ranulph Fiennes, Reinhold Messner, and Jacques Yves Cousteau.
What is your least favourite vegetable and why? Turnips, swedes and similar, they’re just boring.
If you could be any fictional character who would you choose and why? Superman, because flying looks interesting and cool.
What is your favourite film? The English patient ( 1996 ).
What do you have an irrational fear of? Heights.
What did you buy with your first pay cheque? I think it was a suit, I needed formal clothes for my work then.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why? Making people kinder and smarter.
If you didn’t work here, what would your ideal job be? I would probably be a marine biologist exploring and studying the South Pacific Ocean.
